Afterwards is operated by Yari Blanco, a sole proprietor. We are committed to protecting your personal information, especially given the sensitive nature of the data you share with us during a difficult time.
When you use Afterwards, we collect:
Your support wishlist is private by default. It is only accessible to people you share your unique wishlist link with. Your wishlist is not searchable, indexed, or publicly visible.
We understand that grief-related information is deeply personal. Optional demographic data is used only in aggregate to understand and improve our platform. This information does not appear on your wishlist and is not shared with supporters.
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase, which employs industry-standard encryption. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.
We send transactional emails through Loops (loops.so). You will receive emails only related to your account activity. You may opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email.

Welcome to Afterwards. By using this platform, you agree to the following terms.
Afterwards is a grief support platform operated by Yari Blanco (sole proprietor) that helps people navigating loss create personalized support wishlists. Afterwards is not a medical service, mental health provider, or crisis intervention service.
You must be 18 years of age or older to use Afterwards.
You agree not to use the platform for any unlawful purpose, share false information, harass other users, or attempt to access other users' data.
When you claim a task on Afterwards, you are making a commitment to the person grieving. While we understand that circumstances can change, we encourage supporters to communicate directly with the griever if they are unable to fulfill a claimed task. This reminder will also be included in your confirmation email.
Afterwards serves people during one of the most vulnerable times of their lives. We ask all users to engage with care, honesty, and compassion. We reserve the right to remove any user who acts in a manner harmful to others.
Afterwards is not a crisis intervention service. If you or someone you know is in crisis, please contact the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988, or contact emergency services at 911.
Afterwards is provided "as is." Yari Blanco and Afterwards are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the platform, including interactions between grievers and supporters arranged through the platform.
All content, branding, and design of Afterwards is owned by Yari Blanco. You may not reproduce or distribute without explicit written permission.
